Chief Executive Officer
Ben Watts is a project management professional, innovator, and strategic leader in the energy sector. As the CEO of Drakken, he has dedicated his career to re-engineering how the world executes complex infrastructure projects, transforming traditional engineering into an agile, tech-driven discipline.
Under Ben’s leadership, Drakken reached a critical strategic inflection point in 2025, transitioning into an independent, global entity focused on high-value Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) integration. Ben has been instrumental in pivotally aligning the company’s market identity with the future of energy integrating Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), modular Data Centres and artificial intelligence through the launch of Drakken.AI. His Integrated Agility approach has established Drakken as a premier one-stop-shop for the world’s energy and utilities sectors.
With over 15 years of experience in the oil and energy industry, including a decade-long rise through the ranks at Drakken, Ben has built an formidable track record in project mobilisation and engineering management within high-risk environments like Iraq and Nigeria. He is a firm believer in challenging the status quo, moving beyond technical delivery to achieve strategic differentiation through paperless workflows and real-time data analytics.
Ben is a PMP certified professional and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Electronics Engineering Technology. He is a registered Engineering Technologist with ASET, bringing a deep technical foundation to his mission of empowering industries with unmatched efficiency and intelligence.

As COO, Marcel is the architect of Drakken’s scaling operations, focusing on unlocking new revenue channels and spearheading the company’s digital transformation. He has been a primary driver behind the launch of Drakken.AI, an adaptive intelligence venture designed to bring industrial optimisation to the world’s most demanding environments. His leadership is defined by a commitment to strategic clarity and a “make it happen” mentality that cuts through complexity to deliver real-world outcomes.
Marcel’s trajectory from a Red Seal Journeyman to a global executive provides him with a unique, 360-degree perspective on project lifecycles. This rare combination of hands-on expertise and executive vision allows him to push the boundaries of what is possible in E&I integration, particularly in high-risk markets where reliability is non-negotiable.
Marcel holds an MBA and is a PMP certified professional. His focus on organic development and team integration ensures that Drakken remains an agile, future-driven entity, consistently challenging the status quo in energy, technology, and operations.
