Process Safety & Instrumented Systems (SIS)

In upstream environments, there’s no margin for error between control and safety of your network. Drakken specializes in the design and integration of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), ensuring that your Emergency Shutdown (ESD) and Fire & Gas (F&G) logic operate with dedicated independence from the basic process control system (BPCS).

We engineer to IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 standards, providing full-lifecycle support for SIL-rated loops:

  • SIL Assessment & Verification: Validating that your safety instrumented functions (SIF) meet the required Safety Integrity Level (SIL) for the identified risk profile.

Full-Lifecycle I&C EPC

Drakken delivered a turnkey I&C EPC for an independent E&P operator on the Allen-Bradley ControlLogix platform. 

Scope responsibility spanned Functional Design Specifications (FDS) through Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), site commissioning and final handover to operations. Successfully completed within a 16-month execution window.
